The device is under the previously healed incision like yours. It was glued shut 5/8/26 when installed. And the glue eventually fell off. On 10th chemo day, nurse saw small hole developed in the healed incision area and doc said don't use port till the dept that installed it checks it. Had chemo in arm! Plan is to look at port for 2nd time monday and maybe do a dye test to see if its all ok under the skin. I'm upset and trying to stay calm.

@contentment they do need to make sure the port is working properly, so I guess that is a good thing. Getting chemo in a port that wasn’t working would be a ton worse than getting it in the arm.
I am surprised that it is directly under the incision, mine always sits down below.
That being said, I would be concerned if a previously completely healed incision opened up, so I am glad you are getting it checked out.
