I am preparing for a T1 to pelvis scoliosis surgery. Very unsured if I should do it

I canceled my T10 to pelvis because I was so unsure ..other doctors suggested to do L4L5 and possibly L2 or3...i think my pain is from the stenosis...I'm probably going to do the smaller surgery...with hopes that it will last..as my scoliosis is 22 (mild)...Im kinda terrified of big surgery

My scoliosis Dr is very disappointed in my decision

@francine498 One other suggestion: my Internal Medicine doctor had a patient who had miraculous results with a Dr. Tyler Koski at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. That's not too, too far from you. Well, closer than from where I am in Florida. You might want to talk with him while you are checking around

@bassetmom Tyler Koski did my T10 to bottom of spine surgery 11 months ago and I am really good. I am 73 and knew I needed to get it done before I got too old.
He is at Northwestern in Chicago.
Good luck.

I have a similar surgery coming up in October of this year. I have scoliosis from T-14 to my pelvis and flat back syndrome, I didn't know there was such malady.
I am very apprehensive of this surgery. Does anyone else share my fears?

Ask your doctor what Arachnoiditis is.

@koneil Ask your doctors to explain Arachnoiditis to you.
And you should look into it
