You have the recipe for living well, @hudsonlady, especially as we grow older and life's challenges, once mere pieces of cake, now are quite formidable, Attitude is everything. Attitude is the chief ingredient in the recipe for living well. A few weeks ago, I sat in front of this laptop to begin another day's work, only to find that my hard drive had been erased: all of my folders and files, gone. I reacted as many of us––perhaps most of us––do: I panicked! OMG! What am I going to do? In that moment, I realized how much of my life I had allowed to shape-shift into a digital life, and turned that digital life over to my laptop for safekeeping. My panic subsided, and when it had, I suddenly saw the erasure of my digital life as a glorious opportunity. It was like a New Year's Eve in July: an invitation to make––and with determination, keep!––a host of new life resolutions. Honestly? I'm having ball, enjoying my chance to "start over." What fun! What are the chances of a person of 81 will be given a fresh start? Not good, those chances. I'm one of the lucky few. Thanks for your post, @hudsonlady. It was just what the doctor ordered! 🙂 –Ray (@ray666)
