Have any of you heard of Calmare Scrambler Therapy?
Have any of you gone to doctors for Scrambler Therapy? It is a special therapy for neuropathy that was written about (positively) by Johns Hopkins and Mayo Clinic doctors. Many people have been helped by it….Unfortunately not covered by health insurance.

I had scrambled therapy from a well seasoned Dr that knew what they were doing but it didnt help my idiopathic PN but for a short time. I paid $$$$ and recieved 9 of the 10 recommended treatmemts.
I discussed with Mayo Clinc in Rochester Mn and they could continue treatments if I wanted to pay out of pocket. Insurance did not cover any of it. The program states that if no sign of help or reduced symptoms after 6 sessions, then stop treatment. That's fine however most folks will feel some difference due to placebo effect and are tricked into belief it's helping as I did.

Dr. in Bonita Springs was performing CALMAR treatments in 2019.
Calmar Pain Relief Therapy is the Clinic. Not sure if he still operates there.

I did Scrambler therapy. They say it helps most people but some get worse. I was in the latter category and it made my pain worse. Hope it can help others.
@lesx I tried Scrambler therapy last year in New Jersey. After five sessions, I did not feel any better. So, the chiropractor said there was no point in continuing. This is not cheap and is not covered by insurance. This procedure was developed by a doctor at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. I don't think it's a scam. Not enough red flags to indicate so. The big one was the fact that they discontinued treatment after just five. Most scammers would try to suck you dry.
Is this the deal where if it works out they implant a little box in your lower back with wires running up the spine and when the nerve releases a pain signal this unit intercepts it and prevents it from getting to your brain.
Of course it’s not covered! If it works and makes you feel better you won’t need Gambapenten! And that’s covered! $$$

Thanks for the information about Scrambler Therapy. I've rejected the idea at this point. Don't know if I want to travel to the nearest office in Bonita Springs, Florida when there's no guarantee that it works for Neuropathic pain. If it worked for most patients I would think there would be a lot more trained therapists and it wouldn't be such a well-kept secret.
