I am not a physician. Treating osteoporosis is too individual a process to generalize.

That said, I wish that the flaws in the women's health initiative study had been discovered early on. Perhaps if it had I would have been introduced to bhrt/hrt at 38 when I had menopause. I am 78 now. That ship sailed long ago. I don't know if it would have prevented my osteoporosis or slowed it but it certainly would have helped but again too many variables and what ifs.
I suggest you start researching this if you haven't already.
Lots is being written now.
I got on that train a long time ago and am so grateful for the drugs to treat it. I am grateful also that I have had no noticeable side effects from any of them. Alendronate, forteo, evenity and now Prolia.

@gravity3 Fosamax was introduced in 1995. Before then, if you had osteoporosis, good luck. I'm sure every decade will bring more advances (for the next group of patients!)

Thanks for your comments. One question: Why have you used so many of the varied osteoporosis drugs?
