gseaborn (@gseaborn) - Sounds scary... have you had an MRI done yet? that's how they found my compressed spinal cord, which caused numbness, muscle atrophy, and was leading to paralysis.
You might have a completely different thing going on,though, since you have intermittent attacks of paralysis. what does your doc tell you? Has he or she referred you to a Neurologist yet?

@uisge I have a neurology consult in January. I had als as a child so I know somewhat about what is going on, but a neurologist can help me more with possible treatment since I had some in the past. Haven't seen a doctor about my als since I was a child. Now symptoms are occurring again, its kind of a pain to go through again, but I guess I'll see what they say then.
