My bone density scores are lousy. 3.5 right hip, spine 3.6. The endocrinologist suggests an infusion of Reclast, but I hate the idea of these medications. I assume I will need to do something to avoid a fracture. How about you?

Is there a reason for reclast first rather than an anabolic/bone builder like evenity, forteo or tymlos? Sequencing of these medications is very important.
I was diagnosed quite some time ago. I took alendronate for 5 years, forteo for two, evenity for one year (greatest gain in bone), now on Prolia. None have given me any noticeable side effects.
It was the standard at the time to start with fosomax/alendronate however the current thinking appears to be start with an anabolic then follow with a bisphosphonate. Of course all decisions are dependent on a individual medical history. Is your provider an endocrinologist or someone that is well trained and experienced in treating osteoporosis?

Forgot to say that I have not had any fractures related to osteoporosis.
If I had know then what I know now, I would have had a different treatment approach.
