You know what's interesting about these diet discussions. You and Mr. surf eat good, wholesome foods; fruits, vegetables and the like. You are a big part of making that happen. I live alone. I eat red meat probably 4 or 5 days a week and my idea of vegetables and fruit are french fries and ketchup. I haven't been sick in over 2 decades with anything like a cold or flu or URI. Neither have you guys. Yet, here we are, from two different sides of the diet spectrum, and Mr. surf and I both have a pretty aggressive cancer. Leads me to believe that diet has very little to do with it.

Oh and "big bad witch" sounds way cooler than surf. We should start calling you that! 😎

Well, you know, age is a big factor for PC, so getting PC at 70 is unfortunately very common event. Also, living in a semiconductor poisoned area is another factor. And , there are always exceptions to the rule. There are a few people that do not smoke and get lung cancer, but majority of lung cancer patients are smokers.

On the other hand my husband has zero other health issues, has more energy than 30 year old guys around me, looks 15 years younger, recovered after surgery faster than anybody I know, and has zero side effects on 2 drugs of ADT. The only meds he was on before PC was a Lipitor.

I am on zero meds, no health issues of any kind, can out-dance much younger people any time lol and I feel and look great too, (except being stressed by this damn thing now happening).

I do not know if that is a "diet" that is contributing, maybe genetics have the biggest influence on all of this , and we all collectively just think otherwise. 😋

I also have to be honest, we really love this kind of food and that is why it is so easy for me to "toot my horn" ! If somebody told me "no veggies for you" I would be very, very upset and would feel actually very down and deprived. When we were on a vacation in Spain I could not wait to come back home since all that they eat is pork, cheese, and some more pork - I ended up going to grocery store every day and buying bags of carrots and tomatoes and apples to eat in a hotel room LMAO since I felt famished and sluggish and almost sick . My natural gut biome and body crave fruits and veggies 🤷‍♀️. So, I truly DO understand that people feel down when they can not eat what they crave , I do ...

Regarding BBW alter ego lol - I really hope that I am in general more gentle and helpful lol than "strict and critical" ; ) lol
