@barjar In early 2000's my bowel was perforated during a colonoscopy. Because of ongoing serious bowel issues I was advised to ask for a pediatric scope. I'm 87 and have had three successful colonoscopies in last three years. My bowel shows normal though I have a tortuous colon, redundant colon and have Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstructions (Ogilvie's Syndrome) following bowel obstruction surgery Nov./23. Hope the foregoing is a help to you and any others with these conditions.

@barjar Hi...yes I've had a virtual colonoscopy and yes I have a tortuous colon as well. You still have to do the same bowel prep...no anesthesia though. Something is inserted through the rear end...it blows up your belly...then you go thru the scanner. I only do Cologuard at home now...I am 73. My GI said if that ever comes out positive, I'd have to do another virtual one. Hope this info helps a bit. Take care.
