2 ReactionsGood question! I am in the same situation and would also like to know.
I have seen some other posts that indicate mixed results. You nay have to go for many visits before seeing any results... or not. I think I saw that acupuncture is not covered by insurance.

My insurance covers acupuncture if it is administered by an M.D. Most acupuncturists aren't MDs, but a few are. It's worth checking, first with your insurance, and then hunt for a practitioner who meets your insurance's requirements.

1 Reaction@joanland Sounds like you had a lucky break, finding an MD who does it. I’ll check around here and see if there is one here. Thanks.
My PCP suggested going to an acupuncturist for the neuropathy in my legs. I found an MD who was trained in China. He's very well regarded. I've been going twice a week for almost 4 months (30 sessions). Most of the sessions were not covered by insurance. Sad to report that it's done nothing for my neuropathy. If anything, it's worse than when I started. I had my last session a week ago. I'm going to start physical therapy in a couple of weeks. Also may try myofascial release massage therapy which has helped in the past. Haven't been able to get an appointment with a neurologist. The neuropathy was the result of back surgery a year ago. If anyone has had experience with myofascial release therapy helping with neuropathy please let me know.

1 Reaction@lesx Look up Scranbler Technique at Mayo Clinique… none invasive, drug-free, and not painful at all… also look up. calmaretherapynj. I did the therapy for my trigeminal nerve pain and it saved my life.
