I am not a physician. Treating osteoporosis is too individual a process to generalize.
That said, I wish that the flaws in the women's health initiative study had been discovered early on. Perhaps if it had I would have been introduced to bhrt/hrt at 38 when I had menopause. I am 78 now. That ship sailed long ago. I don't know if it would have prevented my osteoporosis or slowed it but it certainly would have helped but again too many variables and what ifs.
I suggest you start researching this if you haven't already.

I got on that train a long time ago and am so grateful for the drugs to treat it. I am grateful also that I have had no noticeable side effects from any of them. Alendronate, forteo, evenity and now Prolia.
