@gingerw you might want to read the note I posted earlier on this Board about water and kidney stones.
I had 20 years of kidney stones several rounds of lithotripsy and lots of painkillers until a friend. Introduced me to what I now call Bill miracle cure.
I doubled or tripled my water intake and continued to increase my water intake until I got up at at least two times each night to pee.
During the transition. I had two or three more stones. Bill suggested in addition to the water when I have a stone to go someplace quiet with a six pack of beer and drink the beer until the Stone passed.
I have followed Bill‘s recommendation since I was 40 and after 20 years of recurring kidney stones, I have not had a single one in the past four years.
I don’t know if this counts as cure, but it certainly deals with the symptoms.
I like boating in the outdoors so I occasionally get overheated and dehydrated and within a few hours, I get the lower back pain that shows the Stone is coming.
When this happens, I drink as much water as I possibly can. The back pain goes away and I never get a Stone.
I suspect the extra water is less harm than the frequent painkilling medication I used to take.
