Hi Lisa's mom!
As I've shared, I've been taking it for two months now and haven't observed a direct link between it and any change in my seizure pattern. As far as I know, magnesium L-threonate hasn't specifically been studied for seizure reduction; the research so far is mostly about cognition and sleep.
What I have clearly noticed is better sleep quality, which I track through my watch. How is Lisa's sleep quality with Lamictal?
@pb50 @arichards3 @absentsenior — you've been taking magnesium L-threonate longer, so have you noticed any benefits connected to your seizure pattern?
Chris

@santosha - I am happy to report that I am not a seizure patient. I am focused on cognitive and sleep influence...

Hello
Lisa has always had issues with sleep, being autistic, quite common
The onset at 32 of seizures and different aeds, sleep rx, supplements etc hasn't made much of a difference
The lamictal certainly hasn't helped, she goes to sleep late, wakes couple times, awake by 6am
Now trying to decide whether to take Seroquel down anymore, was 175,split am&pm, dropped am from 75 to 50 ,just caused behavior issues but corrected qt prolongation
Also starting estrogen ( she's 50, menopause ?) changed thyroid, still gets impacted after part of colon removed late 2024 so sometimes gi issues keep her awake
So, there are so many systems not functioning correctly and adding another supplement not always easy since she's nonverbal.. usually I try it first, as I did with magnesium glycinate, which didn't help my sleep at all!
Thanks for any guidance!
