I was advised by my GI doctor to take it daily. I have small fiber neuropathy & a hx of GI issues, along with 2 fundoplications. I have a lot of problems with bloating & I use the reasonably priced Clear Lax from Costco. I take a capful a day. Metamucil caused too much Bloat & Benefiber did nothing. Along with increasing the fiber in my diet, the Miralax works well, as long as you're sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

1 Reaction@heisenberg34 I've only been familiar with the powdered packet form, and it's the perfect amount to add to one of my spring water bottles I keep on the table for sipping with meals. It works -- gently, gradually, and consistently. Keeps everything normal. I haven't needed more since I started doing this.
Houston GI said to take half a capful of miralax daily with 2 Citrucel pills. Sometimes it's too much and I cut back. It's been a lifesaver, though. Works!
I take Miralax twice a day advised by my doctor I have issues with my stomach. I was wondering how long does it take stirring to get it to dissolve before drinking.
Thank for your help.
Thanks Heisenberg!
Why do you wait two days after your last bm to take Miralax? Thanks!
Joe
I have experimented with several options. This has worked well… so far.

3 ReactionsThanks Heisenberg.
I completely understand trying different things to deal with CIC. Thanks for sharing what you have found useful.
I'm stuck on using stimulant laxatives every other night. I know I shouldn't be taking these, but what else can I do? I'll try your method though. It is much healthier.

1 ReactionYep, I have been taking 1/2 dose every morning for about 2 years. My GI recommended it.
