My gastro didn't emphasize the FODMAP diet either, maybe because so few people are able to stick to it! I'm taking the antibiotics but so far, symptoms same or worse. I suspect it's my Achilles Heel, sweets in relatively healthy form but still too many, that are causing the bloating and abdominal discomfort I've had for almost 10 years now. I refer to my puffy gut as the being who lives inside me but isn't paying rent!
