I became metastatic before I was put on Nubeqa. My oncologist told me that since we’re in an HMO, she is not limited to FDA approved treatments. At my request, she put me on Nubeqa, I didn’t realize at the time that FDA had not approved it for exactly my situation.

I know a lot of other people that have been able to get it without a problem, even though they were mCRPC.

@abcsoup My husband has had Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer for many years and is castrate resistant, and his medical oncologist at an academic medical center recently recommended that he begin Nubeqa. The doctor was able to get prior authorization for my husband to take Nubeqa without any trouble in spite of his disease status.
