I'm wondering if you have a peripheral neuropathy diagnosis, and if so, what symptoms you are experiencing? Are you asking about use of a chest rub ointment?

Trying lyricatired of all the phony adds, plus broke. Mayo turned me down a year ago but keep trying. 83yrs old sleep two to four hours a night, sad

I was on gabapentin for 10 months. I started out with a very low dose, but during that 10 months had to increase to 1600 mg a day. It never really took the neuropathy away, but made it manageable. Then I had ankle surgery and non weight bearing for 6 weeks. I was able to stop the gabapentin because nuerothopy was getting better. That was 3 years ago. My PN is due to back issues. I started weight training that is helping my back. Some day PN is worse than others. My feet always feel cold.

I'll be 74 in October and I have been treated for ET for 12 years. As if that's not enough, now I have something going on with my hands! This started about a week or two ago. I felt a numbness in my right hand, followed by a loss of coordination that made it difficult to use the touch screen on my iPad. Control of my fingers became especially difficult and my hand kept drooping. I found it difficult to perform simple tasks. But, this condition is temporary. It has come and gone, increasingly. It is now happening daily, sometimes three or four times in a day. Once it passes, after perhaps half an hour or so, I regain normal use of my hand. A few days ago, the same thing began with my left hand, but it has only happened once, so far. Is this a form of peripheral neuropathy?

@garyr443 I'm not a doctor and have no medical expertise but this sounds like something you should discuss with your doctor as soon as possible to figure out what is causing the symptoms to occur more frequently. You mentioned you have been treated for Essential Tremors (ET) for 12 years. Have you discussed these newer symptoms with your doctor? Do you think they could be related to your ET?
