I had cervical fusion in Oct of 2021 and lumbar fusion as soon as I could after that which was around Xmas in 2021. The lumbar solved some issues, but I still have problems with muscle pain at the top of the pelvic bone on the right side. Seems like a burning inflamed sort of pain, possibly a muscle or tendon tear. There is also muscle tightning along the lower back as I walk, esp. outside. In the last year or so I've developed bursitis in my right hip which produces pain similar to that near my upper right pelvic bone. None of it seems to be spine/nerve related even tho MRIs suggest that it could or should be. Very disabling. Being on my feet just makes things worse. AFAIK there is nothing further lumbar surgery could help with.

I have one more appt with my 3rd pain doc and I think my next move might be to seek the services of an orthopedic surgeon.
