Evenity treatment and its effectiveness
Can those of you on Evenity tell me exactly how much improvement you have had and what, if any, side effects you have experienced. My doctor has recommended Evenity, and i am trying to make a decision. Thank you.

@susanfalcon52 which doctor ordered your Dexa? I would think that would be the doctor that would call you to discuss results. Seems like your rheumatologist should have called re: the btms.
I just received my DEXA results from June 17, 2024, which was done after receiving my 12th Evenity injections on June 6, 2024. My appt. with my Osteoporosis Dr. on July 11, when I will discuss the results with her and the next steps of treatment. My previous DEXA was Nov. 2022
The DEXA results as read by me:
AP Spine BMD Change 8.0% vs Previous -4.5%, T score is -1.9, was -2.4
Total Hip Left BMD Change 3.0% vs Previous -1.4%, T score is -1.4, was -1.6
Femoral Neck Left BMD Change 7.5% vs Previous -6.7%, T score is -2.3, was -2.6
Total Hip Right BMD Change 1.1% vs Previous not reported, T score is -1.8, was -1.9
Femoral Neck Right BMD Change 6.0% vs Previous not reported, T score is -2.4, was -2.7
I look forward to finding out her opinion and recommendations n July 11.

The rheumatologist ordered the dexa. Yes, you would think he would call to discuss.
I’m having a Reclast infusion at his office today. I plan to take results with me and to aggressively ask for a discussion.

I have had seven months of Evenity injections . After a couple of months I began experiencing neck pain which comes and goes(mostly present to one degree or another). It is most painful (throbbing and sometimes sharp) at night lying down. I also have been having severe headaches but they may have started shortly before the first injection. I do not know whether these head or neck pains are caused by Evenity . I am wondering whether anyone else has experiened frequent, severe head and/or neck pains while taking Evenity, If yes, did they end once the treatment was completed and/or did any permenent damage occur? I am trying to decide whether to cease taking the injections now or continue to tolerate the pain until completion of the 12 month regiman.

1 Reaction10% increase overall but my hips did the best increase from -3.4 to -2.8. my hands and feet took the blunt of the side effects making my feet and hands go numb. Also the brain fog and tiredness. Overall not the worst side effects but my body was always tired.
@kay15
What did you are you taking post Evenity?
@perpetua I had neck pains after the first injection but a physical therapist gave me some exercises to help with that. No more after the first injection. I did get a migraine and my rheumatologist prescribed Relpax but I had just one migraine. He told me if I had more than he would need to determine whether I should go off Evenity. Perhaps discuss with your doctor?
