Anyone have syncope (Fainting) or pre-syncope from Tymlos?
I have been on Tymlos for about 5 weeks. I started at 2 clicks and made it up to 7. The last week I have almost fainted 3 separate times. Once was shortly after the shot and I got up quickly, so I figured I needed to reduce my beta blockers as my blood pressure is super low and hydrate more. I kind of expected this at some point.
However, the last few days I have almost fainted two separate times while sitting at my dinner table after I ate dinner. I hadn't even taken the shot yet either time so it had been like 22 hours since my last shot. i had been feeling a little funny and am a heart patient, so today I went to my internist for blood work after the first episode and then it happened again. I am going to have my implantable defibrillator interrogated tomorrow to see if it may have been an arrhythmia, and will see what the blood test results say, but suffice it to say I am not doing the injection tonight and will wait until I speak to my team.
Why is nothing ever easy?

After having your heart checked as well as your defibrillator checked as well, were you able to learn anything about why you were experiencing periods of near fainting? Have the symptoms subsided at all since your post?
My defibrillator didn't show any episodes and none of my blood work was remarkable, so I think it is due to low blood pressure. My BP runs very low anyway and the heart drugs I take reduce it further.
I am going to try again with a half dose and see how I do per my endocrinologist. First, I need to clear with my cardiologist. I have been taking a long of my blood pressure off the med to see what he thinks before I start back up. This drug is a vasodilator and with my hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, my heart is too think all around and I have diastolic dysfunction which means that the heart can't fill with enough blood anyway and then doesn't pump efficiently. I think that Tymlos just messes with the balance and doesn't perfuse my body enough. Hopefully I will be ok on a half dose. We shall see.
