@loraclucy I take mMralax two days after my last bm. Once in the am and once in the pm. Repeat on third day. by fourth day I usually have another bm, although I may have to use a glycerin suppository to help things along.

I have been taking one and a half doses of miralax per day for the last year or so. This on the advice of my gastroenterologist. No real side effects.

I take it every other day just to avoid any straining. Works really well.

Using it more than one day in a row gives me terrible gas and bloating without helping. I have increased my daily water intake and that helps my Motegrity somewhat. I have a long colon and little motility so bulking up with fiber or water makes my constipation worse.

@carlnh Exactly. Miralax is just a mixture of different fibers. I take doses two days after my last BM.

Miralax makes me constipated.

@tjanet I don't understand how that's possible. Miralax is a mix of fibers. All designed to make the "go" easier. How did you ascertain that it's the Miralax?

Hi, @loraclucy - wondering if you are taking Polyethylene Glycol 3350 (Miralax) regularly, or if it has been recommended to you? If so, how is it going?

@heisenberg34
Miralax uses water from the body to work. Because of my Short Bowel Syndrome I have limited water in my body for Miralax to work so it does the opposite. I am on a low fiber diet because of short bowel syndrome.
