It’s been brutal! I get up early so I can walk the dog and then I wait until the evening to walk him again. I have to take a nap in the afternoon because I’m getting up early. I have been walking 3- 5 miles a day to try and regain some lung function, but I can’t do it in this heat and I’m afraid that I’m going to lose more lung function. At least I finally know that contrary to what some people might think, I’m not lazy. Being in the sun makes me panicky because my body is saying NO!

@lostinkc 3-5 miles a day is truly something! I wish I could do the in any weather. I have trouble in this heat even walking one lap around the little park in our neighborhood. I think the really important thing for those of us with CF is to be adequately hydrated.
