@bch72 Sure. In early Oct 2025 I was diagnosed with grade II HFpEF at Mayo Rochester. I was told there wasn’t a lot to be done for it but that the gold standard for treatment was Jardiance. Looking at all the information I could find this seemed like the best path. I was prescribed 10mg daily and cleared to do whatever my body would tolerate. About a week in I started to notice improvement in my symptoms. I still had one or two bad days a week but that sure beat every day sucking. In early December, either my HFpEF was progressing or my body was used to Jardiance and its effectiveness decreased. I don’t know which but symptoms started to return and picked up momentum. Getting worse and worse. I was given the opportunity to enroll in Dr Borlaug’s REIMAGINE- HFpEF PERI Cut study and underwent the surgery in April. For me, it has been like someone flipped a switch. Today I am 90 days out from having had the surgery and feel superfantabulous.
