4 Weeks on Orgovyx and PSA Undectable

Posted by trees55 @trees55, May 30, 2025

My RARP was in early December 2024. Clean margins and prior PMSA/PET was negative , but I did have signs of PNI and EPE. First PSA was 0.192 , followed by 0.154 and then 0.345. Followed up with PMSA/PET scan which came back negative.

Team recommended 6 months of hormone therapy along with 35 radiation treatments over 7 weeks given PSA was rising and still detectable. I chose Orgovyx which I started almost 4 weeks ago. Other than hot flashes, I’ve not had any significant side effects (well other than my wallet being lighter!).

Radiation is not scheduled to start until end of July. I have a consult next week with the doctor who leads my team and is head of the department, to get his thoughts on my treatment plan. In advance of the call he asked me to get another PSA test. Just got the results back - < 0.015 which is lowest detectable limit for the essay they use. < 0.015 is considered undetectable.

Anyone else have this experience or have thoughts?

It all depends of individual's energy level and biorithm 😊 - some people need and love naps even at young age, some never need them. I personally never nap but I need at least 8 hours of sleep at night or I am totally "out of order" the whole day. And it has to be from 1 am till 9 am lol 😆 - luckily I have the luxury of having that option. Morning sleep is however more restorative for me (from 5-9) than any other part of "sleep". I could go to sleep at 5 and wake up at 9 and be fine BUT if sleep from midnight and have to get up at 6 - I will be yawning the whole day. I am night person, while my husband is morning person lol.

My hubby however needs just 5- 6 hours of sleep and a nap is rarity for him. Even now on ADT he napped twice in those 2 months. So I do not think that naps are "weakness" or laziness - amount of sleep that we all need is really genetically determined and we are all different in that respect.
