Unfortunately, CT scans still is radiation which can weaken your bone density over time. I’m going for a REMS scan which is Ultra Sound and is safe for your bones. I don’t understand why Medicare hadn’t approved it. FDA has.
I’m not doing Dexa Scans , they aren’t accurate.

That’s scary. how often having a CT scan will make it weaken my bone density? Just a one time CT, do you think, will weaken my bone density?

@meri8181, Hi I'm wondering where you got the information.

This is what I have read: CT scans don't cause bone loss. They use "ionizing radiation" to take internal images, but the radiation dose from a single scan is too low to damage bone tissue or affect bone mineral density.

It's so hard to know what's accurate!
