I’m 5 days post PFA and feeling great. My EP was happy with the procedure. The sore throat from the TEE intubation was bad, but is almost gone now. The bruising around the groin is ugly (!), but there is minimal swelling or soreness, and the incisions are healing well. It’s hard to tell how the heart is doing except that there is no AFib or flutter, yay! I’m delighted to immediately be off amiodarone, but still on Eliquis. I’m not feeling 100% energy-wise, and am taking it easy physically, as recommended. (However, I did go canoeing this morning for a little while without difficulty!j.
FYI I’m 72 and in good health. I’ve been dealing with paroxysmal AFib and flutter for about 20 years, progressing though various drugs and monitoring. I’m optimistic about the future.
