Hi,
I'm so sorry you are have urinary incontinence. I have the same thing and I'm 80. At first they gave me an injection that I can't remember the name of but it lasted for 9 years! Then they decided to discontinue it. The doctor suggested that I "just live with it". Which is what I have been doing for about 15 years. I wear two Poise pads with toilet paper on the top pad. You can easily dispose of the toilet paper without changing the entire pad. This works fairly well. However, I don't go a lot of places. Mainly only to the grocery store, bank, doctor's office etc. Frankly at this age I enjoy not going a lot of places. I still drive but luckily I live in a small town area where the roads are not well traveled in the early part of the day when I go shopping. I try and drink a little less fluid when I do go somewhere but not to the point of getting dehydrated. If I do visit a friend at their home, I take a hand towel to sit on in case of unexpected accidents. I don't want to soil the furniture. My friends understand.
At our age, you just have to cope with your situation and be thankful you don't have anything else more serious wrong with you.
I wish you the best.
