@johnbishop . I was diagnosed with Afib after an EKG. I was sent to a medical center here I had a TEE and a cardioversion. Both were successful. I no longer have Afib and my blood pressure is normal. Why should I not go back to a daily baby aspirin instead of Eliquis twice daily?

@broadlands Ask your cardiologist to explain his/her rationale for asking you to stay on apixaban. I would guess that your CHA2DS2-VASc score is over 1.5, maybe higher....?

Hello @broadlands, Welcome to Connect. I definitely agree with @gloaming that you should ask your cardiologist to explain their rationale for staying on Eliquis (apixaban). I'm almost 3 years following a blood clot in my right leg followed by one in my lungs which started me on Eliquis. I thought I could be off after two years and possible switch to baby aspirin at my cardiologist 2nd follow up but she did a great job explaining the risks vs benefits.
