@rashida good question….what criteria are used to figure that out ?

@rashida My understanding is 2-3 years, but you'd still get an annual DEXA to monitor. The longer you've been on a biphosphonate, the longer the drug holiday can be. The goal is to reduce the risks that come with long-term use. Enough of the med builds up on your bone to allow you to take some time off.
