You finally did it—you had the AUS implanted. Congratulations!

I'm still on the fence about it. I'm seeing another specialist next week for a consultation, although I'm not yet emotionally ready for another surgery. Maybe I'll be ready after my one-year mark later this year or early next year, but I'm still not sure. I have a lot of questions and concerns that I want to work through first.

You mentioned that you were pretty continent for the three weeks before the device was activated. I don't understand how that could happen before activation. Could you explain how that worked?

It seems that the swelling due to having the surgery reduces the amount of urine that would normally be released. As the weeks have gone by, I’ve had more and more incontinence, Though it still isn’t quite what it was before the surgery.
