@labrown

George still recognizes me albeit at times he calls me by the name of his favorite daughter from a prior marriage.

I'm sorry for you--and for others whose spouse no longer knows them. If it helps, just pretend that your partner is "leaving [or has left] on a jet plane," and dream about the day when you will be reunited. As the song "Leaving On A Jet Plane" goes:

"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go.
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say Goodbye

But the dawn is breaking it's early morn
The taxi's waiting his blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'cause I'm leaving on a Jet Plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe I hate to go

...
...

Well now the time has come to leave you
One more time please let me kiss you
Then close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave you alone
About the times I won't have to say Goodbye." -- John Denver

George's Wife

P.S. See you on the other side.
