Looking for people who have taken Nucala as an add on therapy for your COPD? Been suggested by lung dr. As a possible next step. Just checking to see if it helps. Side effects etc..

@kat1359, welcome. I moved your question about Nucala (mepolizumab) so you can connect with others like @snoots @suzyq61 @orangetiger @hicopd @narelled23 @persimmons @hank82 who are talking about Nucala.

Kat, did you decide to add Nucala?

@kat1359 hi kat, I’m actually taking my 5th injection today, I started getting out of breath just walking around my house so I found myself sitting a lot. I am on breztri and ohtuvyer which wasn’t enough so i asked my doctor about an injection medication I’ve seen on tv and was wondering how they are and he put me on nucala, it took about two weeks to start feeling the effects and I started moving around so much better and now sometimes I don’t realize I have COPD , it made a big difference for me. If I’m going to walk a bit I walk slower I have to remind myself don’t walk fast lol I’m walking around my home with no breaks sitting while cleaning or doing other chores. The only side effect I felt in the beginning I was very tired first couple days then nothing. I hope that helps you, ❤️
