Hello Everyone,

I look forward to getting to know all of you! I am a 57 year old female. I was just diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm today in the hospital that is measuring 4.5 cm.

I am following up with a cardiologist next need for a stress test and other diagnostic testing. I have been having shortness of breath after excersion, dizziness upon standing, weakness and fatigue that started about 2 months ago. I was workout 4 days a week for the last year and a half, and the symptoms dropped me down to 2. My primary told me to cease all excercise until I get clearance from the cardiologist, which is really hard for me. They are also going to check for potential blockages.

@jeanneap ....I have a similar situation. Just a little over a year ago I had a seizure-like episode. That is when I found out that I have an aortic aneurysm that measures 5.5 cm. My neurologist has had me on some super blood thinners to get me ready to put a stint the aneurysm. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I have CKD which is very reactive to contrast that is needed for the stinting procedure. That contrast will reduce my already low eGFR and possibly send me to dialysis. Best case scenario is the I can raise my function of a level that can handle the kidney function drop without immediate dialysis. Up until a few weeks ago, I had the same tiredness that you mentioned. I had anemia treatments that helped greatly. God speed on our journey. Thanks for sharing
