Hi! I'm new here. Thanks for creating this grp. I'm 51 and it's been about a year since my last period. My periods had always been like clockwork, but for a couple of years they started coming every two months before gradually stopping altogether.

One of my biggest struggles has been the emotional side of menopause. I felt like an emotional wreck for a while, although that has improved somewhat since I started taking some supplements.

What really worries me, though, is that I keep spraining different parts of my body. Most recently, I got a ACL sprain in my knee, My knees keep buckling, and I can't walk without braces been doing physio. On top of that, I've sprained my back twice in the last couple of months and then my glutes (quite painful)

My bone density X-ray was borderline normal, the doc said hrt is not required right now so I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced frequent sprains, joint instability, or similar issues during or after menopause. And how did you deal with this? Thanks

@nash21

Good to have you here.
If you scroll to the top of this page you will see the magnifying glass symbol for search.
If, for instance, you enter osteoporosis and hrt you will see a list of discussions.
There is lots of great experience and wisdom here.
May I ask what your dexa scores are?

@nash21

Are you clear what your doc meant by "hrt not required right now"? I wonder what criteria she/he is looking to be met for hrt/bhrt?
