I am glad this topic has been brought up. I am 82 and have taken HU since 2022 for ET JAK2. I only take 500 mg four days a week. I find my arthritis much worse…mornings are especially hard. I do not know if it is the toxicity of HU, the Eliquis blood thinner, or just old age. Since. I am on a blood thinner I can only take Tylenol.

@eileen11108 I am 77 and have only started on HU since Feb, I am on 1000 per day and as time has gone on I am suffering from stiff and sore joints so I am blaming HU. I will see my haematologist next week and maybe I can lower the dose. But I also have melanoma cancer so as my oncologist says I am a complex patient! There are no answers for some things and we just have to do the best we can.
