Hello - Diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in one breast and in a couple of lymph nodes. They thought it was in my bone on top of my hip, but it seems like it was just very bad arthritis and I had a hip replacement and the surgeon did not see any cancer in my hip bone. I was first on Kisquali for about four months, but it reeked havoc on my liver enzymes so I went off of it and got cleared up and now I am on Ibrance for the last two years. I also have been on Letrozole the whole time.
I was also given an infusion of Zometa for the past two years just finished it up in January and came away with a reaction in my jawbone to having Zometa destroy some of the bone. It’s a very unlikely side effect but I happen to get it. So obviously, I just got done with some mouth surgery, where they went in and took out the dead bone. Still healing from that I have been off Ibrance for almost 2 months. To allow my mouth to heal.
Letrozole seems to be working very well with my cancer markers. They have gone down. One is almost totally normal. My CA 15–3. It is down to 38
Just thought I would let you know where I am at. I’m glad to be a member of this connect group.

@amore1025, welcome. I hope your recovery from surgery is going okay. If you can no longer take Zometa, what is being recommended for bone health for you?
