So the doctor visit went well. She's been scheduled for a brain MRI, a visit to a cardiologist for an ultrasound, and will make an appointment with her neurologist for an exam. Personally, I now don't think it's a Parkinson's issue at all, but a hydration issue. She'll have lab work done for that too.

I appreciate the support here. I'll post again when I have some new information.

Thanks again.

I appreciate the follow-up, @markdh. You mentioned that you do not think this is a Parkinson's issue. I'm sure these other tests will help determine whether that is the case. You mentioned that you think this might be a hydration issue. Does your wife drink enough water during the day? '

I look forward to hearing from you again. Will you post again with questions or updates?

@markdh this all sounds very familiar to what happened with my mother! After doing all of this exact things you mentioned it was determined that she has Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsonism. She is 83. I don’t know how old your wife is, but a year ago when my mother’s symptoms were slowly progressing, the person who finally gave us answers was a gerontologist. She made the initial diagnosis and then referred us to the neurologist who confirmed an added in the Parkinsonism.
