@blue717 After getting a high CAC score and detection of an ascending aortic aneurysm from the same test, I asked for my carotids and abdominal aorta to be checked. They found atherosclerosis in both, but not to a significant degree. The coronary atherosclerosis is being treated the usual way. I imagine it's not that unusual to have scattered atherosclerosis in the abdominal aorta, but I'm not a doctor. I'd also guess the level of concern is a matter of the degree of atherosclerosis. Check with your PCP. S/he should be able to tell you if it's a concern.
