Hi @wes152 In recent years there have been many advancements in AML treatments. We have several members in Connect who have AML and managing their condition without a bone marrow transplant. That’s been an enormous step in progress since I had my transplant 7 years ago.
This may be a much better option for you, so that you and your wife can remain together at home. Would you mind sharing what your treatment medication will be? Are you still being treated for your AML under the guidance of Mayo?

I will start my 4th cycle of decitabine with venclexta on 7/13, and my last marrow biopsy showed 0% blast cells present. My only side effects have been some joint and muscle pain, manageable with Tylenol.
