Thank you for thinking of me. After exploring all options, we have determined that a transplant is not feasible. Hopefully the Lord will see us through my treatments and grant me complete remission without a transplant.

Hi @wes152 In recent years there have been many advancements in AML treatments. We have several members in Connect who have AML and managing their condition without a bone marrow transplant. That’s been an enormous step in progress since I had my transplant 7 years ago.
This may be a much better option for you, so that you and your wife can remain together at home. Would you mind sharing what your treatment medication will be? Are you still being treated for your AML under the guidance of Mayo?
