Hi Chris, I have not gotten a chance to report anything to my doctor yet mostly because the message portal I use is kind of wonky and messages doesn’t always go straight to her she. But I do get to see her in August and I plan on letting her know then. I’m also not fully up to date on lingo so I had to look up what AED meant lol. But I’m learning so many new things about epilepsy seizures from this group and so fascinating!! I am still having some myoclonic jerks every now and then if I’m stressed or don’t get enough sleep, there was a day I was having them throughout the entire day mostly because I just couldn’t sleep from the night before

Hi Sam,
Ha, don't worry about the lingo — we all had to learn AED (anti-epileptic drug), EEG, MRI, and the rest at some point! I'm really happy to hear you're finding the group fascinating; that curiosity will serve you well as you get to know your condition better.
Since your appointment with your doctor is in August, it's a good idea to note down what's been happening in the meantime so nothing gets forgotten by then. I'd also recommend discussing a better way to communicate with her directly at this coming appointment, given the trouble you've had with the portal.
Stress and lack of sleep are well-known seizure triggers, and it makes a lot of sense that a full night without sleep led to more jerks throughout the day. Here's a discussion in our group about triggers you may find useful:

Have you found anything that helps you fall back asleep on the nights when it doesn't come easily, or to compensate after a bad night's sleep?
