Six month anal cancer response not in agreement

Hi Colleen
I was T2N0M0 at diagnosis. It is now much smaller and the last MRI staged T1N0 based on size. I do ask a million questions probably drive my drs a little nuts. The issue is a lot of the answers are we don’t know. I have had PET/MRI scan at 3 month and 6 months with anoscopy ever 6 weeks both scans and anoscopy show continued improvement. But not complete resolution so the question is scar tissue or tumor. No easy answer

@juliem25 my scans & anascopy always show what you are describing. It’s been 3 years since radiation & FU5 chemo, & I still show abnormalities with both. I have had many biopsies. Determining that cancer is present, but not growing, & there is a decent amount of scar tissue. My tumor markers have not gone up, so that is reassuring.
