I’m just curious what others have experienced being the cause of their anemia. I’m a 28 year old female and have been anemic since roughly 11-12 years old. The cause is not menstrual cycle related as I rarely, if ever, get periods (they can be up to two years apart). I also just had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they didn’t find anything concerning. They did take a biopsy but I’m not sure what to expect as far as results from that.
I haven’t heard from my primary or hematologist on next steps and I’m just curious what others have found as their cause if it’s not menstrual cycle or GI bleeding related.
