What little things make life worth living?

Rescuing animals keeps me busy and smiling. They make me happy, always laughing, and learning. It must be worth it for me to have the rescue for 16 years. The time, energy, cost and efforts must be something we enjoy, which in turn is good for our health mentally and physically. Where does your daily joy come from?

I'm having to really dig deep for this one. My will to live must be really strong bc there have been so many days since my illness that I haven't had an answer for that question yet I keep getting up day after day and continue to fight and continue looking for new ways to fight. I keep praying for a solution so I guess for right now that's my reason. That plus all the things I'm grateful for. I remind myself of these often, it's like the tiniest shred of hope I cling to. All I can hope for is a day when I have a long list and not only this constant search for answers. I really enjoyed reading all of yours, this was a good question.

I understand the searching need, trust me, I have so many imperfections it's hard to concintrate on just one at a time. Something I learned in my teen pot smoking days is, we, the body, is just a shell, the soul is the light that keeps us alive, yet we search externally for happines. When I astroprojected at 16, I was scared and didn't know what happened. A friend explained, we have an ambilical cord attached from the body to the soul, and as we lift/ levitate, the cord stretches. If we lift too high, the cord will snap and disconnect from the body and our body will die, for without our light, battery, soul, we are nothing. Just go ahead and bury and burn us, it's just a cracked walnut shell. With this in mind we still think we can be helped and happy from external means. Sometimes we can learn enough from simplistic external entities to accomplish that, but when in dought, look internally for your light, your soul, for this IS the most important part of your life that never dies. In the meantime, enjoy this amazing planet with all the glory to absorb to your soul!
