I'm in the same boat, failed Nissen Fundoplication. Did you ever find out if you can now have a Linx? I've been told no by one doctor but keep looking.

I am researching the Stretta procedure. I read that with this procedure it create muscle at the junction of the esophagus.
I have to talk to the doctor who do this procedures and see if I can qualify for it.
Does anyone have this Stretta procedure?
Thank you.
I also am not a candidate for the wrap since I had Barrett's with high grade dysplasia. I am going to Mayo in Rochester in a few weeks for my 6 month visit (first time I went 6 mo.between visits). Have plans to ask my Dr.about the LINX procedure, but I think my hernia is too large. I've been on 80 MG of Nexium along with taking a Zantac at bedtime for a couple of years. Dr is watching my calcium levels since these meds can deplete calcium in my body. I do take D3 to help with this.
i had linx surgery with hiatal hernia repair on december 10 2018...
it has been 2 months. I have been doing pretty well...occaszional disphasia....but alot of gas....has anyone experienced this....will it ever stop?
I had the LINX procedure in September 2018 and have had no real problems, just expected recovery issues. I do not have a problem with gas. I am able to burp or vomit without a problem, if need be. I did have a chest ache/backache occur a few times but have not had it now for several weeks. I was told it was probably a spasm. Sometime white bread will become lodged. This is now rare and only requires that I give it a minute and it passes. Overall I have been very pleased. Have not needed antacids since the surgery.
Are you speaking with a LINX surgeon?
I just had surgery on Jan 22nd 2019 to re-repair a large hiatal hernia and my surgeon who does the LINX procedure undid a Nissan wrap from 24yrs ago that had slipped. She then applied the LINX band. I've been heartburn free for the 1st time on 30yrs. It's awesome.
My surgeon Dr Helen Sohn who works out of Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa CA. which is San Diego east county. She is also part of a nation wide net work of Drs specializing in the LINX procedure.

I'm told I'm not a candidate for Linx after my Nissen. Not because it can't be done but because of the strength of my esophagus muscles. My esophagus doesn't have the strength to open the Lynx when I swallow. I go see my surgeon on 2/28 to see what options I have.
i had linx dec 10 2018.....i had a chronic cough from the acid....i still cough some but am told that will decrease....i do have alot of gas but am told that should subside.....i am 9 weeks post op.....anyone else dealing with alot of gas

So far, I don't have any doctors that are willing to do a Linx after Nissen.

Happy to hear that people who have had Nissan done may be able to have the LINX. I’m so happy I had it done.
