@anniegirl0903 My rheumatologist attributes the increased bruising to the combination of inhaled steroids and Plavix (a blood thinner) - he calls it an "additive response." Sometimes I have to add a short course of steroids for an RA flare, and then I can bruise just by touching my own leg or arm.

But the medications allow me to live a more normal life, so I just go around looking like someone is beating me 🤪. It has caused more than one provider to ask "Are you safe at home?" And I often find myself wearing slacks or yoga pants even in warm weather if I go out among strangers.
