I went gluten free, dairy free and sugar free on my own after being put on Protin Pump Inhibitors - a pharmaceutical- that helped while I was on it. But once I went off, all my symptoms returned. Some what I did absolutely helped and I knew I was on the right path! Found a functional medicine doctor who tested for the ROOT CAUSES of my symptoms. A naturopath doctor I believe can do the same for you. But while you wait, try going gluten free, dairy free (I switched to sheep and goat milk products) and sugar free as much as possible. I also have Hashimoto’s and have had for years. It has finally been controlled by taking NP thyroid for the past couple of years.
Best to you! It’s a journey finding answers!

@gigi4 So, let me understand this, you take medication for Hashimoto’s? Do you also have an over or under active Thyroid? I have not heard of a doctor ordering medication for Hashimoto’s alone. I control mine with diet alone and take Synthroid to control my hypothyroidism.
