Nano Knee Replacement
Has anyone else had a Nano Knee replacement? I will be postop three weeks tomorrow. I have been walking without Walker or cane after the first few days. Only problem at night is that my leg will heat up like it is on fire and I have to get up and ice it. Then I go back to sleep and another hour or two the cycle repeats. How long will this last?

@judycat hi Judy, I’m sorry for your lack of sleep. Can you tell me who did your knee replacement? It’s an eight month wait to see somebody in Albuquerque so I am thinking of going elsewhere
Thank you, Marianne
Dr. Andrew Yun, 310-281-5010 was recommeded to me by my friend's son, who is head of ER at the hospital in Burbank. Dr. Yun did my surgery 14 months ago. In Los Angeles. His office is in Beverly Hills, surgery is at the USC hospital . good luck! People from everywhere go to him. Some think his in person personality not the most friendly, but his work is admired.

go to nanoknee.com
You can go on their website & give them a call & get all the info. I drove from Covina Ca to Arroyo Grande. CA & stayed at a very nice hotel that they recommend (you get a 50% discount , we drove home the next day. It is about a 4-5 hr. drive home. You can doo all of the PT at home or after a few weeks you can also get outside PT. Dr. Ferro will get authorization for extra PT if you need it.
I also understand that Jiffy knee is less invasive than traditional.
@judycat Hi, Judycat. I'm a day shy of five weeks out, and there is still much swelling, although the bruising is diminished. It's difficult to sleep through an entire night; each morning, it takes a lot of the gentle exercises and some NSAIDS before the stiffness subsides from the inactivity of the night. I'm not sure that it's all so unusual, though. I'm considering acupuncture or use of a tens unit...

1 Reaction@jaynad I should have mentioned... Dr. Ferro also did my "Nano knee."
I also had a Nano Knee replacement -about five weeks ago. That heat and swelling at night are also my experience, although the bruising has diminished. Sleep works for a few hours, then I wake up. Going through a collection of the exercises helps a little, but then I go back to bed. It's difficult to know, sleep is healing, but hours of immobility are very painful to wake up from.
