Exhausted from Interrupted Sleep due to frequent urgent urination
My nighttime frequent urination is getting worse. I have to rush to the bathroom about 6 times per night. I am sleep-deprived. Also have some urgency during the day, but worse at night. Has anyone had similar experience? Where do I make an appointment for help? Thank you.

First family doctor for a check up for diabetes and metabolic tests.
Next get a referral for a sleep study since sleep apnea and nocturnal
urination excess are related. Then consider a urology consult.
Raising the head of your bed on blocks can help. Be aware of the fall risk
and consider motion activated night light. Is your bedroom quiet and dark.?

1 ReactionMy mom saw her primary and then a urologist. She had the issue for years.
I don’t know your age or mobility level, but my mom had a similar problem that I have posted about around here. She was wearing incontinence products around the clock, plus using the toilet. She was up 6 times a night, skin breakdown, burning, itching, exhausted…..then,
She fell and broke her arm, went to rehab from hospital and went on Foley catheter. Most everything is better now. Her urologist says she’s not a surgery candidate, so this is likely permanent. Now she gets sleep, no irritation, skin dry and looks more rested than she’s been in years. There are recurring UTIs but she had them before catheter too,
Just wanted to share. Oh, there is also the device called PureWick. My mom was allergic to it, but it looks like a good option. I think insurance covers it now uf by prescription.
I was having the same problem during bladder cancer treatment and was prescribed oxybutinin. What a difference that has made: from going 6 times per night to only twice.
Frequent urination is only a symptom with many possible causes. See a urologist to have a work up first before trying to correct it yourself. From personal experience.
