Is anemia associated with prostate cancer or treatment?

Has anyone had anemia in conjunction with their diagnosis, or anemia as a symptom?

@surftohealth88 Cool. I'll go shopping. Right now, I'm more concerned about cameras in interesting places. I'm not ready for my closeup.

*sigh, I completely get you : (((.
I am avoiding colonoscopy like a plague and would just be mortified if I had to do cystoscopy. Ask them to give you gentle sedation or something similar. : ( Let us know how it went 🍀

Yes. I had it during radiation and ADT with Lupron. Switched to Orgovyx and it went away after 3 months.

Not in my case……

@peterj116 - I'll finish it for ya...Getting old sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

No surgery but on ADT for a little over a year. Hobby farm with a few critters. It wasn't too bad in the winter when just taking care of critters. Working the grounds too now that everything is growing is a bit of a struggle. It's taking a lot longer. Work when I can, sit when I'm tired. Guess I just have to be grateful I can still do it at all. Blood levels are watched closely and not anemic yet but certainly lower than is normal for me.

My new mantra..."Hang in and muddle through"

We got this👍

Oh...and for B-12, I highly recommend a 2-inch T-Bone. (which is probably why I'm not anemic yet)

@mjp0512 As I get into my mid 70s a-lot of things don’t work like they use to. Not as much strength, more breaks, done for the day after several hours. But keep on plugging even if it takes longer.👍

A cystoscopy is really a minor procedure. I had to have one about six months ago and it was quite simple to do and not painful at all. I was able to watch on the scope that went down, and saw what was going on. It is procedure that sounds real problematic and is not at all.

Now a colonoscopy is a real pain, Mainly in preparation for it. They always put you under when they do it.

@jeffmarc Depending on how the flow test goes, I'm kinda expecting a cystoscopy, too. I'll write a review if I do.
It's just annoying that I haven't even got through the incontinence stuff yet, have possibly more tests & procedures for that, then these other 2 unpleasant procedures that could produce any kind of result, with more tests or surgeries.
Not a fun time.
